Get ready for a stacked day of climbing action at Stonetree! On Sunday, March 1st, we’re hosting The Carroll Crux, a collegiate bouldering competition in partnership with Carroll College. Our laid-back, all-levels, climb-till-you-drop event is sure to have something for everyone.
Heads up: The gym will be closed to the public for the comp (until 2pm), but you can still sign up or stop by to watch the action! Due to the timing of this event, we will be putting on hold our Spring Community Pump Off for 2026. If you’re missing this, or any other Stonetree event, we hope you feel like you can Let us know.

College Comp!
Bouldering competitions at Stonetree have always been about bringing people together to climb. We’ve added this spring version to partner with our colleges as another way for climbers to engage and enjoy their community. Hope to see you for the spring fun!
tHE CARROLL CRUX (10:00 - 1:00 PM)
This collegiate showdown hosted by the Carroll College Climbing Club is all about camaraderie, encouragement, and showing up — no matter your ability. Open to all college students, whether you’re projecting at your limit or climbing your first ever comp, come climb, support one another, and have a blast. YES, costumes are encouraged. Climb hard and have fun.
The Crux is a redpoint-style bouldering competition. Climbers will have 3 hours to attempt any of the 60+ boulders spread throughout the gym. Your top 5 climbs make your scorecard, and attempts are recorded only to decide a tie. Categories (Beginner, Advanced, and possibly Intermediate, depending on numbers) will be determined after scores are submitted, with roughly even distribution across divisions. And don’t overlook the bonus awards: Biggest Supporter, Marathon Sender (most routes completed), Perseverance (most climbs attempted), Best Swag, and Best Dressed. The price of entry gets you a scorecard, includes shoes if needed, a meal, and a good time. See you at Stonetree! See below for the full schedule.

All participants are required to have a signed waiver before climbing. Please read Stonetree’s Rules & Policies before registering.
Stonetree's Cancellation Policy
1) All bookings deposits are non-refundable.
2) Cancellations that take place 2 weeks before your scheduled booking will receive a refund in full.
3) Cancellations that occur with less than 2 weeks notice and up to 24 hours notice before your booking will receive a 50% refund.
4) Cancellations that occur less than 24hrs from the start of the booking or event will not receive a refund.
5) If Stonetree Climbing Center is able to fill the vacated spot or booking, a refund will be issued in full.
6) This cancellation policy is firm and may only be waived for special circumstances. Thank you for understanding and please reach out if you have any questions.
