trail Fitness
A reimagined Trail Fitness program—built on the trails, not just for them.
8 Weeks of guided fitness x 3 Days Weekly
[registration opens february 2nd 2026! ]
Class starts March 3rd — Don’t Fence Me In is May 9th. Will you be ready!?
Ready to crush your spring and summer goals? Join Stonetree and Les Mignery of Run to Hunt for an 8-week strength and conditioning series designed to build durable, trail-ready athletes—whether your season includes running, hiking, biking, climbing, or long days moving in the mountains.
This program blends focused gym sessions with intentional time on the trails, putting strength to work where it actually matters. You’ll build strength, stability, and mobility through progressive overload and key movement patterns, then take those gains outside—moving uphill, downhill, and over uneven terrain with more confidence, efficiency, and control.
Program overview
This program is built around one simple idea: train with intention, then use it where it counts. Each week includes one focused gym session, one trail-based strength session, and one guided endurance effort. Tuesdays at Stonetree are your foundation—structured strength work targeting large muscle groups, stabilizers, and trail-specific movement patterns. Thursdays take that strength outside with vertical hiking, hills, weighted carries, and terrain-based challenges that translate directly to moving better on the trail. Where it all comes together is Saturday. Participants are strongly encouraged to complete the week with a 9:00 AM group run or a 10:30 AM group bike, bringing both class groups together to apply the work, build consistency, and create real momentum heading into spring.
“I have a terrible time coming up with my own workouts—or when I do, they’re inconsistent and always the same thing. This class provided regularity and a great group to work with.”

why this works
This program works because it mirrors how we actually train for the trails—intentionally, progressively, and in community.
One focused gym session each week builds strength where it matters most: major muscle groups, stabilizers, and the connective tissue that keeps you durable over long days outside. We slow things down just enough to lift well, move well, and build strength that sticks.
Then we take that strength directly to the trails. Thursday sessions apply gym work to real terrain—hills, vertical gain, uneven footing, and loaded movement—bridging the gap between training and performance.
Saturdays are where it all comes together. Running or biking together reinforces consistency, builds aerobic capacity, and reminds us why we train in the first place. These sessions are optional—but strongly encouraged—because accountability and shared effort matter.
This isn’t about crushing yourself. It’s about stacking smart work week after week so when the trails dry out, you’re not catching up—you’re ready.
Train with intention. Move with purpose. Show up ready.
